Ensemble Dalí was established in 2006 by conductor Eirik Sørborg. The ensemble was originally formed by a group of singers from the north-western region of Norway, and has now expanded to cover a larger region in the middle of Norway. The selected voices constitute an instrument of exclusive quality. Our repertoire is always diverse and challenging, on many levels. The main goal of our performance is always to create a permanent impression, deep in the hearts of our audience.
Our conductor, Eirik Sørborg, studied at Norges musikkhøgskole in Oslo with instructors Grete Pedersen (the Norwegian Soloists Choir), Per Sigmund Thorp, Tore Erik Mohn and Trond Kverno. Sørborg graduated in 2002 with top grades. A few years ago he received a scholarship from Norges korforbund. Sørborg has given lectures at the University of Oslo as a conductor of the well-known chamber choir Schola Cantorum.
To see a World in a grain of sand,
And Heaven in a wild flower,
Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand
And Eternity in an hour
